Muskoka Heritage Place will liaise with your event staff and vendors; however, all event organization and supplies are the sole responsibility of the renting party.

Alcohol service

If you plan to serve alcohol, you are responsible to license the rental area in which you wish to serve. If your event is being catered by a professional catering company, they will likely have a Caterer’s Endorsement to their liquor license. It is your responsibility to ensure all licenses and permits are valid.

If you are catering the event yourself you must obtain a Special Occasion Permit from the L.L.B.O. or online at www.agco.ca. Licensing an on-site event requires a minimum of 21 days. Proof of licensing must be present on the day of the event.

A 5-million liability insurance is mandatory.

Insurance

  • A 5-million liability insurance is mandatory for events serving alcohol
  • You may either purchase low risk (non-alcohol) event insurance or high risk (alcohol events) through the Town of Huntsville.
  • You may acquire your own insurance and proof, which must be provided to Muskoka Heritage Place
