The Town of Huntsville Canada Day celebration happens July 1 at Muskoka Heritage Place. Join Mayor Alcock at 10:00 am as she kicks off celebrations at the Inn. Council will be giving out free cupcakes (while supplies last).
Highlights throughout the day include:
- Dignitary speeches
- Free Canada flags, stickers and tattoos (as supplies last)
- Games and stilt walkers
- 35th Simcoe Foresters Co. #6 militia group encampment and demonstrations
- Presentations at 11:30am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm, 2:30pm.
- Live music
- Strawberry social at the Village
- Canada Day cupcakes
- Lion's Club Huntsville selling food and beverages throughout the day (cash only):
- 9:30am - Pancakes and bacon (while supplies last)
- 10:30am and on - Hamburgers, hot dogs, peameal on a bun; beverages
- All proceeds go to support Lion's Camp Dorset!
- First Steam Up day of the season! Take a ride on the Portage Flyer Train (regular train fare applies, no advanced ticket sales): 11:30am, 12:15pm, 1:00pm, 1:45pm, 2:30pm, 3:15pm
Admissions and entry
Admission to Pioneer Village and Muskoka Museum is by donation of a non-perishable food item, which will go to the Salvation Army Food Bank. Entry is through the main entrance at 88 Brunel Road only.
Regular train fare applies.

We love to see our guests in their patriotic red and white to celebrate Canada Day! Please bring weather appropriate gear and comfortable clothing and footwear for an adventure-filled day.
