Canada Day Celebrations
The Town of Huntsville Canada Day celebration happens July 1 at Muskoka Heritage Place. Join Mayor Alcock at 10:00 am as she kicks off celebrations at the Inn. Council will be giving out free cupcakes (while supplies last).
Highlights throughout the day include:
- Dignitary speeches
- Guest appearance from Captain Hunt, Huntsville’s namesake
- Free Canada flags, stickers and tattoos (as supplies last)
- Live music
- Strawberry social at the Village
Admission and Entry
Admission to Muskoka Heritage Place Village and Museum is by Donation of a Non-Perishable Food Item to the Salvation Army Food Bank from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm (last entry 3:00 pm).
Entry is through the main museum at 88 Brunel Road only.

At the train station
It’s our first “steam up day” of the season! The train runs at 12 noon / 1 pm / 2 pm & 3 pm, and the Steam Museum will be open to guests. Regular admission applies.

What to bring
We love to see our guests in their patriotic red and white to celebrate Canada Day! Please bring weather appropriate gear, and comfortable clothing and footwear for an adventure-filled day.
What not to bring
